Eoin “Joe” Trolan is a professor of Global Sports Industry at Hankuk University for Foreign Studies. Prior to working at HUFS, he Taught classes during his PhD studies at Florida State University and received his B.S., M.A, and M.S in Sports management and Sociology from Georgia State University. His current research is studying the impact of sport and acculturation especially with immigrants and refugees and the development of sport policy at the local and community areas. He is also heavily involved in promoting local and international sports in Korea and Asia. He works with the Gaelic Athletic Association and the Irish Governments Department of Foreign Affairs to help promote sporting connections with Korea and Asia with Ireland and to understand how culture impacts sports particiaption.
